Not For Me is a reference tool. You save words describing foods you avoid, are cutting back on, or are looking for. Not For Me searches a copy of the USDA FoodData Central database that ships inside the app and shows you where those words appear in a product's ingredient list.
Not For Me does not give medical, nutritional, dietary, or health advice, and it does not tell you whether any food is safe or good for you. It reports word matches. Deciding what to eat is yours alone.
Do not use Not For Me to manage a food allergy, intolerance, or any medical condition. Ingredient records in the underlying dataset are supplied by manufacturers, are missing for some products, and many have not been updated in several years. Manufacturers change recipes without notifying the dataset.
A result of 'Fits' means only that none of your words appeared in the stored ingredient text. It is not a statement that a product is safe for you. Always read the physical packaging: it is the only current source of truth for what is in a product. If you have a food allergy or a medical dietary requirement, follow the guidance of a qualified professional.
Food data comes from USDA FoodData Central, a public domain dataset published by the United States Department of Agriculture. The USDA does not endorse Not For Me and is not involved in it. The data is provided as published, without verification by us. The publication date of the copy inside your app is shown in Settings.
Not For Me is free to download and free to use with up to five saved preferences. Searching and results are never limited, in either version.
Not For Me Pro is a single one-time purchase that raises the limit to two hundred saved preferences. It is not a subscription. It does not renew, and you will not be charged again. The price shown in the app is what your App Store region charges; it is read live from the App Store and is never stored in the app.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Not For Me Pro is tied to your Apple Account and can be restored on your other devices with Restore Purchase. Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
Not For Me runs entirely on your device. Do not redistribute the app or extract and resell its assets. The underlying USDA data is public domain and you are free to obtain it yourself from fdc.nal.usda.gov.
Not For Me is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of the food data. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, injury, or damage arising from your use of Not For Me or from reliance on any result it shows.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing here affects statutory consumer rights you may have.
We may update these terms when the app changes. The current version is always available inside the app and on our website. Continuing to use Not For Me after an update means you accept the revised terms.
