Filed Away collects nothing. There is no account, no server, and no analytics. Your receipts, amounts, providers, and notes never leave your device except through Apple's iCloud Drive, which is your own storage under your own Apple Account.
Receipt images, insurance EOB documents, and an index.csv ledger are written to a folder you choose — either on your device or in your iCloud Drive. You can open that folder in the Files app at any time. The developer has no access to it and no ability to read it.
Nothing by this app. Text recognition on receipt photos runs entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework; no image is uploaded. If you make a purchase, that transaction is handled by Apple, and the developer receives only Apple's standard anonymous sales reports, which contain no personal data.
The app writes technical logs readable only on your own device. These record counts and event names — never provider names, amounts, dates, or note text.
Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for the developer to retain or delete. Deleting a receipt in the app moves the file to a Trash folder inside your vault; deleting that folder removes it permanently. Deleting the app does not delete your vault folder — that is deliberate, so your records outlive the software.
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.
If this policy changes, the updated text ships inside the app itself.
